I put a D16A6 into my 91 std hatchcrap, If you have any questions, feel free to email or PM me.
If you're on a tight budget, you can take it in steps. I would sugest doing the MPFI swap first, followed by the Si transmission. these 2 swaps make the most difference. in fact, you may be happy with the performance of your existing engine if you do those two things to it (and the engine is still in good shape) Add a D16Y8 head gasket to increase compression and a good cam and valvesprings and you could be looking at low 16's.
I hardly noticed any difference at all when I swapped blocks. believe it or not, the most difference happened when I put the Si tranny in.
If you're handy with a wrench, you don't even need to swap trannies, you can just rebuild your DX tranny and put an Si final drive into it.
One place to get good info on the "D's" is http://dseries.org .

i plan on doing the same, swaping a si motor in my dx, i've got all the fixins, wire harness, ecu, dist, intake manifold, and i'll be picking up the engine itself in the next couple of weeks, but, i do have some questions about the swap.
as for the si harness, will i be pluging that straight into the ecu and ditching the dx, or do i need it strictly for modifying the dx harness?
