Default Axle fixed! Some tech info inside....

Well i pulled the axle took it to kragen and got a free replacement

new one seems good, no noise.... yet... knock on wood.

anyways for the tech info, in case you didn't already know this:

My axle was broken some where in the transmission side joint, when the axle was removed, it just didn't feel "right" turning it hand it didn't feel smooth at all. The resistance to moving it was to low, and turning it pushed all the way over it made metal on metal noise, not good.

So it was really easy to tell just by hand that it was bad, ESPECIALLY when comparing it to one that's good, you can really feel the difference. So a word of advice when buying remainufactured axles, check them for "feel" against other axles in the shop, you might be able to detect one that has or will fail...

hopefully that will reduce the ONE IN TEN chance of getting a bad axle...

anyways, thanks for your help again with this post :
