Is it a universal true that any OBD-I engine harness and OBD-II chasis harness are interconnectable? And vice versa, ie: OBD-I chasis harness and OBD-II engine harness?
I would just like to know if they are physically interconnectable and if it's true for all Honda engines/chasis.
The specific motor and chasis in question are a '96 Accord LX and JDM OBD-I H22A.
I've never swapped before.
thanks

Not entirely true. On the OBDI 92-95 Civic you can use any 92-95 OBDI Civic harness or 94-95 OBDI Integra harness or even the 96-01 Integra OBDII harness. The 96-00 Civic uses a 1 piece harness design so you can't use their harness in another car or the 2 piece design in that chassis.
I've never owned or swapped an Accord but you should have no problem using your stock harness on the motor. Besides the JDM H22 harness was designed for a right hand drive car. You will probably have to rewire the distributor plugs, alternator plug and the injector plugs though. Check out the Accord forum as I'm sure many have this setup in their cars.
