Default Comptech or Clutch Masters Flywheel... can't decide!

I am trying to decide on a flywheel but can't really make up my mind... I'm torn between Comptech and Clutch Masters. I've heard good things about both, so I can't decide. The Clutch Masters would be cheaper, but the Comptech is even lighter (though maybe not a good thing for a daily driver).

Comptech one is like $425 at Modacar, and I saw someone got the Clutch Masters for like $280 from Ngr-racing.com... I emailed him to see how many he has left, but hasn't gotten back to me yet.

Is the extra $150 worth it, or no?

no way go with Clutch masters...8lbs is light enough..also its very hard to tell a difference between 12 vs 9lbs...then 6.7 vs 8lbs is even harder...also a 8-9lbs is what most JDM and USDM manufactures build so there must be trade off if you go too light...

Why not spend the money on a Toda flywheel. For $25 more than the Comptech unit, you will have the BEST flywheel money can buy. Spoon or Exedy are also NICE choices.

ek9t-could you go deeper into that situation at all? The reason that I ask is that I just ordered a clutchmasters flywheel for my 94' GS-R becaust it was only $280 shipped, and because it apparently has stock teeth. I very much value the lives of people around me including myself and my passengers. Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

He probably means the aluminum giving in to the heat/pressure... Toda's are steel... as Spoon's probably are too. I know the new JDM Type-R or Type-S, whatever it is, has a steel flywheel.
