Black wheels look like steelies?
Alright,
I was driving home from costco with my mom today and we saw a black WRX with shaved badges and what looked like black rota attacks sitting at a light. Upon pulling up to it, I looked over and said, "mom, eventually I want to pick up a set of rims like that." She looked over and said, "they look ok just sitting there, but when the car is moving they look like cars without hubcaps!"
That reminded me of how I used to think of black wheels - reminded me of steelies (that was before I was H-T branwashed
). Does anyone else get this impression?
On a side note, what would you rock on a black WRX? Gold, silver, bronze, gunmetal, or black w/silver lip?

the beauty of having black rims is to be stealth and unnoticeable.
but the people who know about the trends will know your not rolling steelies.
when your rolling steelies you can't see your calipers, but for the most part when your rolling rims you can see them.

Well I guess he's not like everyone else, they are 18x8 OZ Superleggera's wrapped with 225/40ZR18 Yokohama Parada Spec-2. Not Rota's!

I second that. IF SPOON never got famous with those ugly black rims,

You could always find a nice 18 with the lip and get the spokes powdercoated. I like the Velox V-8... although it's heavy as *** and it's gunmetal, not black.
