Default Couple questions about coilover springs...

I have a set of Zeal B6 coilovers which are mounted on my 89 EF hatch (autocross car). I'm told the shocks will take up to 16k front (895 in/lbs) and 14k rear (782 in/lbs). The guy I bought them from said the springs rates with them were 10k forn and 8k rear but someone else now says they were more like 12k fornt and 8k rear. I don't read Japanese, and the Zeal site doesn't have any english. Can anyone confirm the rates for me, or am I stuck with taking out the springs and going to have them measured?

The setup was originally for an ITR. For the 1st half of the season, I ran Teins with 450 front and 275 rear spring rates. Now with the Zeals, and the higher spring rates, the car is faster. I want to mess around with spring rates. I'd like to try 650 front springs (currently about 550) and move the front 550s to the rear (currently 450). The problem is, the springs and seats are 60mm. Thats about 2 3/8". I can't fit 2.25", as the seats are tight to the 60mm springs. Does anyone think they will be a problem running 2.5" springs? Or am I stuck (once again) buying expensive japanese springs?

Thanks

You won't know until you try the standard 2.5" springs, but my guess is that you're going to be out of luck.

Not a clue on the current rates, you should ask whatever place you bought the shocks from.
