What kind of spark plug wires
I was wondering what kind of spark plugs wires i should use.I got a msd ignition setup and was running them with stock plug wires without problems. Is there a good brand out there or something that doesnt cost $100+ like Nology.
I always recomend OEM or NGK blues if you aint got the $$. If you are running around 400+whp or you just happened to have an MSD set-up why not run the MSD 8.5mm wires?
Yea i just dont want to spend 80bux on some plug wires.I have heard and seen pics and it looks liks ERE doesnt use msd so i figure just sell my setup and run stock ignition.

Right on. I've tested the typical MSD set-up (MSD 6A, Blaster 2/3/SS, mod cap, 8.5mm wires and Denso's/NGK's) on anything from a bone stock 92 Accord LX to N/A monsters to boosted cars as well. To be honest there are so minimal gains in throttle responce/fuel consumption etc... Not worth it on Honda's IMHO. When it comes time to upgrade, you are probably ready for a Digital 7 anyways.
Its funny, one of my MSD wires broke off completely at the distributor last night. The actual L piece that goes into the boot snapped off. Gonna go back to OEM.
last year i ran an MSD ignition setup on my B18C motor (since i was using N2O DP injection with it) and had no problems. MSD SCI, SS coil, cap and Magnecor wires.
everything is still in since i was going to go turbo with the new motor, but it's all currently bypassed and i'm only using the stock cap/coil and the old Magnecor wires for now. i have a new set of Magnecor wires to use, along with a new MSD cap and OEM rotor.
but if i stick with N/A then i'll prolly put the new OEM dist. cap i have on and run OEM wires as well. no real need for 'upgraded ignition' unless running some crazy F/I setup.
