well I really dont know what to use. The lateral support on the SIR's are a lot better then the R but the R's sit about an inch lower and are softer???

i like the way the SI's look and it is a comfortable seat. if you don't want em', i'll take em'.

 

I like the Type R better but maybe that is just me. I don't really like the roundedness of the SIR seats.

 

OEM ITR is lighter, therefore the better choice

 

did you have to modify at all to use the SI rails?

 

yes they are custom made brackets welded on to the SI rails!!! its not that difficult, just takes takes time, metal and a welder...

and i dont care about 5 extra LBS.. I think I have enough power to back myself up!
so please dont use weight as a desicion making aspect!

Keep the SI because it is much superior to the ITR seats.

 

It's too bad you couldn't make rails that would sit the SiR seats at the same height as stock ITR seats. The ITR seats are great...10 years ago.

Would trade his ITR seats for a set of Si seats anyday.

i'd say keep the SI seats!!!

I find the support on the SI seats a lot better than the R seats... and besides.. everybody has R seats already..

 

stick with the R stockers. I have sat the the hard POS si seats that only fit fat people. I'm 170 pounds and still slid like it was a rollercoaster ride. It feels cheaper too.

i think I remember ep3 guys mentioning that when they put in buckets, they get an SRS light.. isn't there some sort of airbag system in the seat itself? if that were the case I would expect the ep3 seat to be much heavier..

 

keep the ones you like better

 

if you combined the best feature of each seat, the support and shape of the si's and the soft bouncy middle section of the R seat, you would have the perfect combo...otherwise known as the "jdm recaro"

maybe sell both and get jdm's instead?

between the 2, i'd choose si seats, but i'd paint the plastic red section behind the head black-

 

i have R seats in my GSR but would have rather gone with SI seats had there not been the height issue.

 

given the already high (imo) seating position in the R, i would stick with the R seats, and not amplify the "problem"

 

I like both of the seats very much, i prefer the ITR seats. but bottom line the only seats that ill ever have in my R are the stock ones, or a nice new set of red recaros! Shawn

I would keep the EP3 seats and paint that damn red plastic black in the head rest. I would trade for those seats as well.

 

Can the new Si seats be had for a decent price somewhere? Or did you just happen to come across a set? I'd definitely like a pair, maybe someone will see the market and make Integra brackets for them too.

Look on EBAY, I've seen them for around $300
