After talking all kinds of smack about the new turbo Neons I finally got to line up with one...

The first race sucked, I launched from way too high, lost traction, dropped out of VTEC in 2nd, and pretty much got whored.

The 2nd race is the one worth mentioning. The SRT4 driver had just hooked up his boost controller and was running about 15lbs (1-2 psi above stock) on the SRT4, everything else bone stock. This is a car that ran 14.0 at 102 mph before his boost controller. We lined them up and launched almost identically (I don't know how, since he had drag radials and I was on regular Falken street tires). We floored it, and he just kept inching up through the gears. By about 120 mph we shut the cars down, with my nose right on his bumper, so he pulled by a car, but altogether a pretty close race for an NA car vs. a car running 15lbs! I had a lot of fun.
