Pros and Cons what do you guys think about running a type r head and intake manifold on a b18c1 block and keeping the bottom internals gsr

i swear, you need to research this stuff before you start spitting out combonations and asking opnions. putting a b16/type r head on a GSR block is called a poor mans' type r. read read read.

yeah I have researched it and there nothing wrong with it just woundering how the motor would handle gsr pistons since the type r is the same block as the gsr just diff compression pistons

i'm pretty sure it'd work fine..since people do vice versa (jdm itr pistons in a gsr block..and etc)
but you'd just lower your compression...ultimately losing power.
i think you'd have to ditch the gsr ecu for it to run better?
unless yer going FI...lower compression is better i guess..
