How to tell JDM ITR calipers from replica's?
so how do you know?... i went into a race shop in my area acutally known as OPAKRacing which is west coast SPOON distribution and the guy in there showed me some JDM ITR calipers... IMO i thought they were fake since they did sell a lot of replica's and generic brand stuff back in the days... but on the caliper it engraved "nissin" which is also on my stock calipers... also it had this big "typer R" writing which was molded with the caliper... what you guys think?... real or replica? thanx
Somehow I doubt the real calipers have "Type R" molded into it. You mean like the Mustang Cobra calipers right, how they say Cobra on them?

Wouldn't it be kinda hard to cast "Type R" into a sliding caliper on the side, where someone other than the mechanic could actually read it? Or does the JDM type R have monobloc calipers?
Sounds fishy.

well he is asking about JDM ITR calipers. dont you think that maybe your usdm itr one might be different than the JDM ITR caliper. kind of like the wheels, motors, front ends, header, exhaust, interior.
