If you've ever held LEXAN you know that it weighs next to nothing. Glass weighs an incredible amount. You're going to save about 90% of the weight of your windows by installing this product.
HOWEVER.
As you can tell from the pictures, fitment is not perfect in some areas. I would not do this to your car unless you're using it as a track *****. Then again, I'm not the one who'll have to deal with puddles in my hatch.

the pros/cons of lexan/polycarbonate is well known. i just wanted to see if somebody has got a chance to have some actual weight saving figures on the civic hb rear glass.

I seriously doubt most officers would know if it wasn't stock, legal, or even notice it to begin with. Unless they are desperate chances are they won't bother with writing a ticket for a non-dot approved rear window. Now if your rolling around with a lexan windshield held on with screws...
