Default Tranny Differences...

Is there any difference between an Tranny from a DX and an EX? I'm talking about automatics here, cause I don't really want to go through the hassle of swapping everything to make it manual yet. Is there a difference in ratios or anything between the two? Would there be any benefit to put an EX tranny into DX powered car? What if it had a ZC? Please help me out here guys, I'm just kinda scratchin my head...

The DX has a 3.88 Final Drive, the EX has a 4.25 Final drive. So the ex has much better acceleration but higher revs when cruising. I'm using my stock EX tranny on my ZC and I love it.

Can you bolt a D16A6 tranny to a D15 Engine? I don't want to bother replacing the engine quite yet cause it still runs well, but since the tranny's out, I want to know which would work better.
