Default p72 or p28 with hondata for all motor

I searched but I would like to know more. I am looking to go to obd1 but I am undecided on which ecu to use in conjunction with hondata. Pro's and cons for p28 and p72
here is my setup:
'01 b18c OBD2 with i/H/E/IM, skunk stage 2 cams, valvetrain, head milled .010
(soon to be installed)
weisco 11.8:1 81.5 pistons, rods

if you don't have the b18c1 manifold then stick with p28

Doesn't really matter which ECU. You're bascially running off the Hondata. Get the P72 if you need the IAB. If you switch to a Skunk2 Intake Manifold, P28 is better just because of the fact that it's cheaper.

if you are still using the stock gsr manifold then go with the p72. If you changed manifolds skunk2, jg, etc go p28

If I was planning on upgrading to the Edlebrock manifold (I hear this helps a lot for turbo applications), then shouldn't I just save some bucks and go P28?

Thanks,
Nick

i'd say yes. i know this has been implied but i'll explain it. the p72 ecu has control for the secondary runners in your IM. while the p28 does not. so if you won't be using the stock IM then p28 is the way to go. it'll save you a few bucks and i've read the p28 was better for turbo, but that could have been related to the fact that the secondary runner control wasn't really needed with a FI car. hope that helped

Yeah cool, that's what I was getting at. Will be looking for a cheap P28, Hondata S200, injectors, a cheap laptop, and an Edlebrock manifold!

Thanks,
Nick
