i have a 2002 manual coupe, and now when i start moving in first gear, sometimes there's a whistling or chirping sound. Has or does anyone have this problem, or does anyone know what it is?

 

what mods do you have? some intakes will whistle at idel. also how many miles on the car? sometimes a worn throwout bearing in the tranny will whine/whistle.

and a 2002 is a 6th gen.

 

6th gen sorry. No mods yet, 11k miles.

 

im guessing your accord is an v6........wat u do is get a long screw driver......go open your hood.......touch it on the alternator.........if u have the noise......is your alt.........i bet urs alt. brand name is "delphi" is common to go bad like yours.

 

hey im sorry for above post....i realize your accord is manual (acoord dun come v6 manual for your year.......well try to diagnose bye it work the same way as v6........
