Default cam question

i have a b20b block with a gsr head i dont have the vtec hooked up yet will the cams make it alot slower since they are made for vtec caz the b20 alone felt alot faster any feedback would be apprecated

of course it will feel faster, once you hook up vtec!

Without VTEC, the smaller GSR cam lobes only make power up to about 4500-5000rpm then the powerband dies off if VTEC doesn't work. If it did work (like its suppose to), VTEC would kick on, taking over the 5000rpm-to-redline powerband.

hook up VTEC and you will see.
