Well, dude happens to me all the time pissees me off. I lost many Blue Acura emblems all at the mall 
So its either shaved it off. Or do velcro like me lol that stuff works like a charm 
Have it whenever you want it or take it off whenever without messin up any paint 
Good luck man. I'l tell you what they do to those emblems they either sell it or use it on their cars. My experiences
