I notice when I pull into my yard that when I go through the puddles and water splashes up on the brakes there is an enormous amount of smoke that comes out from them. I know that I am driving and using them so they are going to be hot... But are they supposed to produce the smoke?

 

It's steam. Do you use the hell out of your brakes right before you pull in the driveway (live at the bottom of a big hill, etc.)?

 

not really but .. I do use them going down the back road ... that I live on .. bunch of curves and such.

 

Do you have OEM rotors and pads? Or aftermarket ones?
