regarding the cold air dilemma, what is the easiest way to make a AEM SRI into a cold air? I have one of those, but i don't like it much, i prefer cold air, could you please direct me to a link or something?

Thanks a lot.

If you don't already have a CAI, might as well go for the V2. It works in a similar way to the type-s intake, and therefore should produce similar top-end results to the regular AEM intake, but have much better torque numbers down low.

perhaps, i should have reworded my question...sorry

what i want to do is make an extension to my existing SRI and that is it. do they make these, or is regular pvc pipe ok to play around and make it work the same way as custom made piping?:

get a cheapo ebay short ram and cut it/fit it to make it into a cai and use rubber couplers and hose clamps to tighten everything together

or you can get a used cai

how about something like weapon R's ramjet setup. has anyone even tried these? the thing with the tube and the vacuum cleaner head on the end that runs up under the front grill like an intercooler.

actually i think building a box might be more efficient, because making a makeshift CAI will inevitably lead to more bends and more restricted airflow. If you could have a short RAM, Cold Air intake, it would be the best of both worlds. one way to do that is with a box.

Injen is the only company that I have heard that makes the extension tube for the SRI that they produce. I am planning on getting it because it gets real wet here during the winter..
