im running a straight pipe to a apex i n1 ,but i think is kinda loud , im debating wether to add a resonator , i was wondering how much would it quiet me down ,and would there loss of hp??

I have a 90 and run straight pipe w/no cat and no resonator and put a glass pack on. Loud as **** but top end kills. Ran a 14.33 at San Antonio raceway last weekend.

 

damn that must be loud.is it v tec ?
once the v tec kicks in in my car ,is like a beast, also attracks police like crazy .

 

I put a glasspak on my exhaust. Made a substantial difference.

 

resonator makes things quiet, so ya, it would quiet it down.....alot

 

Adding a resonator also gets rid of that "ripping/tearing fabric" sound. It'll make the exhaust tone deeper as well. Get a perforated core aka straight-through resonator, as opposed to a louvered core which will hamper the exhaust flow.
