Help with honda running badly....ideas please!
i have an 87 honda accord, LXi efi....anyways....
when you are driving after it has warmed up a little, it will start bogging down, like you press the gas and just boggs, some times you have to completely stop the car and rev it up a little to get it to start running clean again...
i have changed the spark plugs and the fuel filter...anyone ever have this problem?

It could be anything. Check your air filter. Look at the exhuast for any big dents and make sure the catalytic converter is not clogged. Check the PCV valve. Are you getting a check engine light?
Take it somewhere to have a technician troubleshoot it for you.

simple things
fuel injector cleaner
fuel filter, fuel pump (it may be failing when it gets hot)
any one of the sensors.....

i bet it is the cat it is clogged or if not it is a plugged fuel filter ... to check the cat remove it and start the car see if it revs up alot better

You might be able to see if the cat is plugged. Take it out & look thru it. You should be able to see thru the holes, at least where the pipe openings are. Look to see if the ceramic monolith is warped, cracked, loose, rattling, etc...
Revving the engine to 6k in neutral doesn't produce nearly as much exhaust flow as actually driving. The engine's not doing any work, so you don't need to open your throttle very much to rev to 6k in neutral.
PS, a couple more thoughts...
You got new spark plugs; how about wires & distributor cap? Check for arcing. Measure the primary & secondary resistance of your coil. If your coil is getting 'weak', it can show up only at higher rpms.
In '87 the EFI control was kinda crude compared to today. Just because you aren't getting a CEL, doesn't mean you don't have to check ALL the normal tune-up stuff.
