Default CTR Cams in a b20vtec (b20b block + b16a2), will the valves clear the pistons?

Just wondering if anyone knows if these cams will make the valves hit the pistons?

Also wondering, what kinda cams could I use that would be better?
Will ITR, Skunk 1 clear?

thanks again,
mike

you cant really ask around and if someone says its ok and just do it, then your asking for trouble. you gotta clay your motor with any non-stock combo.

Thats a negative.

Stock b16a cams won't clear if you have the 9.6:1 compression motor.

Did you get your intake valve reliefs cut?

if the stock b16a won't clear, the ctr's DEFINETLY won't clear either.

But what year b20b block? I bet its the 8.8:1 compression in which case I believe b16a cams will work, but ITR/CTR's will hit on the intake side. Your best bet if you want bigger cams is to get the intake valve reliefs cut out and go to some CTR or ITR cams. Your car will love you for it.

I've heard that an ITR cam will hit on the intake side but not the exhaust side. I'm not sure tho, so you should get a second opinion. I'll try and find some more info for you now.

the exhaust valves are the same size vtec/non vtec. the intakes are the bigger ones so it will hit the intake side. im pretty sure that you can get it to work with either the p3f 8.8 or phk 9.6 pistons because its the dish of the piston thats different between the 2 not the valve relief. its just REAL close on both motors. i think that either way with an itr cam your askin for trouble so enlarge them pistons.
