Beaks kit help
Ok, Got the beaks kit & sway for my sol. Jacked the car up, started working, read "use chisel to break tack welds on nuts inside subframe".....How the hell do you get those off? I was under the car pounding away for over an hour and not a single one of them came off. For those who have put this kit on (on a car with a factory rear sway), how the hell did you get those nuts off?

Now, is there anyone that can answer my question? I used the search before I posted (as always). I've seen no mention whatsoever about removing the NUTS IN THE SUBFRAME that are tackwelded. Can anyone ELSE help me?

depending on the location...use a welding device and be very careful...maybe pry them off depending on how much room you have to work with...just an idea...if anyone finds out let me know...i am interested in this component as well

Chizel works, but it really helps if it is attached to an air hammer....that's how I got Shaun K's off his DC in the DISTANT past......
Getting tacked nuts off you need an air compressor. Either torque them off with an air gun, or hit them with an air hammer and chisel....

They make it sound so easy in the instructions. Anyways, same thing happened to a week ago. I tried everything but finally whip my dremel rotory tool and used a small saw blade and cut some off and used the chisel after. On one of the nuts I drilled the required 3/8 hole first and chiselled after, that kind-of worked. the top nuts were the hardest though, Good luck.
