Greddy B16 dyno's...
I searched and found a little info.. I was just curious what a good dyno would be for a GReddy kit on a stock B16 with a standalone..
I just tuned an Si with Hondata, 440cc, and the greddy turbo kit.. we got 272whp and 233tq. This was at ~1.1bar. seemed pretty good to me at the time.. I tuned a DRAG3 B16 right afterwards and got 307 and 223tq..
I didnt expect much from the Greddy kit so I was pleasantly suprised at the results.. the car was a blast to drive afterwards..
What do you think?

that is really good to hear!!! Can you tell us the rest of the setup on on the car as far as exhaust, upgrades what was doen to the engine and the like? THe reason I ask is I am going the same route. I was going to do pistons rods and the greddy kit with the type 24IC hondata 550cc inj and a FJO wideband
My friend Skippy (chris) made pretty good horsepower for only running 5psi.

Jeezuz,
If I get 272hp/233tq offa stock b16 with my t3/t04b , I'd be the happiest bastard in the world.
GJ mang for getting that outta a greddy kit

those numbers seemed too good to be true at 5psi.
he was getting boost creep up top. if u look closely his torque was climbing up top. normally torque should flatten out and drop ... esp with a greddy turbo.
climbing torque up top usually means boost creep.

I will dyno my car saturday. I am hoping for 190whp at ~6psi. I don't know if I will make it. Feels like my car is slower. Or I am just getting used to it.
I guess I should do a compression test.

well I guess I did well with the car..
The car had an exhaust, Im not sure what kind, it had a cat or at least the remains of one.. I didnt talk to the owner before tuning, but I was left the message that it was a stock engine so I tuned it as such.
thanks for the props.

i'm pleased with the tuning you did to my car Jason. The car's running the apexi n1 catback with a test pipe. I'm betting that it's a bit restrictive and that I could probably get a few hp upgrading to a 3in exhaust system. Shame I couldn't talk to you before you tuned it, so you were pretty much tuning blind without knowing much about the car but you tuned it just fine.
btw, how much boost was that drag3 setup running?

The drag kit was running 16psi or so.. it had the t3/t04b, 2.25 dp, I had put on a cut out in the dp the night before. He is planning on upgrading soon but I think he is happy with it.
