Default project car just about done *lot of pics* Dyno'ed PICS FIXED

Just about got it all done. Went ahead and got it tuned. Waste gate set at 6.5 psi and creeps to 8psi. It acutually worked out great since it was tro be tuned for 9psi.

the basics: STOCK JDM B18C, Percision SC 61, 750cc injectors, Hondata S200.

Was pretty damn happy with 320whp. Feels so good.

And the wheels are some old school JDM Racing Harts. Yes I know the tires are too big but they are on loan since i dont have anything yet. thinking on buying them and getting some new tires. Kinda liking them

Update: took the car to the track Saturday and made a couple of passes. On street tires I went 12.72 @ 116 with a 2.0 60'. With 22 " slicks, the best I could do was a 12.2 @ 114 with a 1.7 60'. I would either bang out 4th gear or shift into 5th, either of which had the same out come. Looking into going with a 24 or 25" slick. Any opinions????

The begining

Almost done, needs a little more cleaning and tweeking

Its nothing like my turbo'ed SI coup (220whp), and I thought that one was fast. Its gonne take a while to readjust, the hatch blows the coup away. (which is for sale now, 2000 red SI )

Started on it back in April, 03

You did alot of work in less that 4 months! I myself am looking to do nearly the same setup, you gave me a little inspiration.

OT: I know the TiAL are good BOV, but I kinda wanted a quiet one, so how does yours sound?

Pretty sure its the ming/ spark racing. I really am not for sure. I have touched up some of the welds and created some bracing to take the load off the manifold so it wont stress crack due to the weight of the turbo. Do plan to upgrade ,when I recover from this round.

On occasion. I am running a 3 inch doum tube to a 3inch exhaust. SO its a little loud at times.

with the creep issue, it hit 6.5 around 4.5-5k, then crept to 8-9ish by 6.5-7k, and held till redline.

looks super sweet man, I remember seeing the original pics a while back.

good to know you got it all put together, and in a timely fashion...however hard on the wallet it might have been.

Looks awesome.. but I'll help you out here. The seat belt setup you have there isn't legal and most likly won't pass tech at the track. I can't tell for sure but it looks like you have it bolted to the floor. In case of an accident, the seat belt would catch you from going forward obviously, but in doing so, because it's bolted to the floor it will compress your spin greatly and possible break your back. I really don't see how they would allow you to run, unless you snuck by some how. Anyways, you may want to bolt it to the piller perhaps, I'm not quite sure without a roll cage. It has to be bolted somewhere above your shulders. Ever notice how a stock shulder strap in are always placed relativly high? This is why. Just something you may want to address before atempting to run it at the local track. Save you some time, anyways good luck with the car... looks awesome!

By no way am I an expert on the seat belt, but I had never heard of this. Have seen hundreds of cars with the exact same set up. The instruction manuel that came with them had very nice detailed pics that not only showed you exactly where to go but also told you where to go. Not that some may know, but BMP, a big BMW race parts dealer nation wide that just so happens to be located here, the place that I got the belt from, has been installing them in this exact same way in BMW auto-X, track, and spec race cars. Should this have been an issue, I think they would have found out first and let me know that the mounting location shown in the instructions that was provided by the manufacture was wrong.

You can try it, I know a few people that couldn't pass tech at the track.. but that was drag. They were always real strict. It makes sense, if you think about it. Good luck with the project!

I wish I could see the photos, but from what your saying, sounds like you are putting down some really good numbers.
