H22 Euro R Intale Manifold in a Civic?!
I just ordered this manifold... but then I looked at the pics more in depth and noticed that the idle valve doesnt mount on the front of it... so I have to assume it mounts to the back...
Last time I put a H22 in a civic... the engine was SUPER close to the firewall and brake lines, etc.
Anyone have this intake manifold on a H22 in a civic? Did the idle valve clear all the crap on the firewall?
Thanks
Charles

I heard the euro manifold doesn't fit in the civic chassis. maybe one of the h22 guys can confirm this. good luck
I'm in the process of putting a Euro R into a 93 civic, but we're still working on the wiring so I don't know for sure yet if it's going to fit. There is a thread about putting the Euro R manifold onto a regular H22 in a 96 civic and he had to modify everything on the firewall to get it to fit.

i heard the same thing. let me know how it works out

i'm the guy with the manifold problem. the manifold is designed so the tb is linear to the plenum, and what happens is the tps and iac are hitting various things.
whereas the stock tb manifold is shaped to curl it so the tb is more towards the front so it gives more clearance.
you will have to relocate your fuel filter housing and line, you will have to redo your clutch hydrolick lines, depending on EG chassis you may have brake lines in the way, the fuel line may not be long enough, and the AIC must be from a civic, because the ludeone will not clear the firewall, and you wont' be able to put the clip on from the harness..
oh and there are other issues but i'll let you fiture them out... HAHAHAHA
I hope you got more than a 25 Peice tool chest because you'll need it.
anybody can mod the manifold to bend the lines and re-route stuff. but it won't fit right, something will rub and possibly break, not to mention the hacked up job!
if you want something that looks ok and fits ..you'll work alot harder..

Man, I really need to get ahold of my friend (fawker owes me money so he won't get back to me
) but he has the real-deal Euro Type R manifold on his H22 in his EG. YES, it does fit, YES, there's actually MORE room between the firewall and manifold, and YES, he had to cut and do a lot of modifying to make it work. But this was also on an EG chassis.... somebody else tried it on an EK chassis and said that it didn't work..... both cars (EG and EK) using the HCP mount kit. He even had to modify the fuel rail to work on the manifold. I've seen it once and it looked clean.... I need to go back and take some pictures of it so I can show everyone. Otherwise, the Skunk2 manifold should be out shortly so you can always wait for that.
