Default Best way to remove spoiler???

When trying to remove my spoiler, I noticed adhesive between the spoiler and the top of my trunk. What is the best way to get the spoiler off without ruining the paint on the trunk?

Thanks
Chris

fishing line or dental floss, then remove the adhesive with something like afta

just be sure to apply a new coat of wax afterwards.

i did mine with dental floss....but make sure you have a lot of it, cause the line breaks very easily.

10 lbs fishing line does the work.

Also, heat up the adhesive by using a hairdryer. Just use enough to heat it up a bit. Don't be blasting it on the paint.

Park the car in a heatbag location known for thieves....make sure you wash and wax the car before so it's nice and eye catching.

Go get some coffee and come back ..within 20mins or so, VOILA!! Spoiler is off!....sometimes the whole car goes missing too!!

But in all seriousness, dental floss works good along with a hairdryer for the adhesive....

Or at an apartment complex in one of the richer parts of Cary, which is where the above incident happened

If you live in the Triangle, and come across any rich ******* kids from Cary HS that live in Lochmere, you have my permission to beat the living **** out of them.

random plugs from my garage and touch up paint

Tip: when you put in the plugs, use some silicone or something similar to seal the holes, otherwise water will seep down into your tail lights

rob- water tails equipped. live and learn

What you want to do is tie a string to your spoiler and then tie the other end to your front door. Remove the bolts, then slam your front door shut (or if it opens inwards, you'll have to kick it open). The wing should come right off!

P.S. In case you couldn't tell I was kidding, the dental floss/fishing line suggestions above are the way to go.

the fishing line method should work..
but be sure to have a friend or someone to hold on to the spoiler while you do it... you don't want it to fall off to the ground....

Aoi-Zip: who's seen that happen before...
