Default Project RWD Prelude

Something you guys might be interested in is our project Prelude.

Some info:

http://www.prostreetonline.com...e.asp

Our Project Prelude started off as a daily driver. Unable to leave well enough alone, it got the standard intake and exhaust modifications. When all the standard bolts ons just wouldn't do, it got a PSI custom T3/T4 turbo kit, and a PSI FMIC. The stock motor took a lickin', but got tired, and got the full build. 465whp later, we decided it was time to get serious. The shell was removed, the frame was thrown away, and we custom built our own tube frame. The powerplant is an Acura Legend 3 liter V6, that will be stroked to 3.2 liters. Fully built, and attached to twin T4 Innovative turbos, the power will hit the rear tires via a Powerglide transmission, and a Ford 9" rear end. Be on the lookout for this car... with 45 lbs of boost, a hit of nitrous, and 1750lbs with driver... nothing stands in it's way!

Dang everyone, why so much hate?

The guy's makin a custom car that was originally a Prelude, and thinks it'd be cool to share it w/ some other Prelude owners. True, there's not much left that's from an actual Prelude, but it's cool, nonetheless.

And yes, it is a real car. I coulda swore the site said the motor's coming from an Acura CL...so it's your car or shop, eh?

if the motor is coming from an acura CL that's makes more sense, since he did say it was a 3.0 V6. I been searching the legend engines and there is not 3.0 legend engine or atleast one that I could find.

like I said before the car still going to be badass.

It would be nice to see them mass produce some aftermarket parts for the legend engine.

well, even tho its not much of a prelude, those guys have some commitment to take the Lude in a different and exciting direction. Good luck guys and hope this will make the world sit up and start taking notice..

Should be a cool car, but not anything like a prelude. You could just as easily put a legend body, or a civic body on it.
I want to see someone put an actual prelude in the 10's. Prelude motor, FWD, stock unibody (no tube anything)......

that would be real cool.. 10 sec prelude.. but well, I guess the H22 has some serious issues about boosting etc.. anyways.. hehe.. I can boast to all my friends now that we have the Prelude in FWD and RWD.. their choice.. haha

and id love to see 45psi through a legend v6 lol

a H22 is one of the better engines to boost as long as its built and tuned right

as for the car, its cool and all, but i would also like to see stock lude body, stock frame, FWD

im not flaming but that car is no longer a prelude

Thanks for the replies guys.

We know it's not a Prelude techinically anymore, but to us it's still the Prelude we drove off the showroom floor when it was brand new.

We are still debating what motor to use, and will most likely go with a H22, which we have laying around the shop just screaming to have us build it.

We first need to finish our other project cars, which are a 2003 Evolution, and a 1999 Eclipse Spyder GST which was converted to AWD, fully built, and Haltech.

Here's a link to it:

http://www.prostreetonline.com...1.asp

It was also featured in SCC.

why so much hate? you guys are right, its not a prelude anymore really, but at least it visually represents us (and a 4th gen no less) by kicking *** at the track.

anyways, i really like the car, even though it has a different engine, drivetrain and weighs more then 1000 pounds less then mine.

Not an H22, it's "an Acura Legend 3 liter V6, that will be stroked to 3.2 liters." Twin turbos on a four-banger wouldn't be feasible.
