Default More 1/4 mile times from Bristol , Finally happy! woo hoo!

Well im finally almost happy with my 1/4 times. Its a 95 ex coupe with a b18b and gsr tranny. 70 shot of dry nitrous.

Centerforce dual friction clutch in now...

I ran 3 straight 14.2's heh. Couldnt get any better... maybe next time.

1st run:
r/t - .114
60' - 2.285
330 - 6.106
1/8 - 9.238
MPH - 78.14
1000 - 11.944
1/4 - 14.231
MPH - 100.85

2nd run:
r/t - .315
60'- 2.296
330 - 6.136
1/8 - 9.284
MPH - 77.05
1000 - 11.994 (again!)
1/4 - 14.288
MPH - 100.26

3rd run:
r/t - .151
60' - 2.264
330 - 6.038
1/8 - 9.234
MPH - 77.86
1000 - 11.939
1/4 - 14.231 (again , exactly! WTF!)
MPH - 100.71

Well im not done yet.... And before you say, well muh boy in his hatch with a b18 ran that, blah blah. Its a coupe, not a hatch. Im in the mountains of east TN high elevation. And well, i still suck at driving...working on it....

your trap speed is pretty good. get some stickier tires and you might hit high 13's

yeah your trap speeds are nice. I'm sure you can get it 13's with better tires and maybe some weight reduction.

Edit: Hey, are you squeezing in first gear? If your not that could explain why your traps are that high.

i agree, that mph is good for some 13 second ETs. i run a 13.7 @ 99mph with drag radials on motor alone. i was getting consistent 2.1s. now when i had the 100 shot, i found sprayin right off the line helped my 60s a lot. i ran two 1.9s in a row and a 12.3 @ 115 as my best nitrous time.

so i think some drag radials at least and try nitrous right out of the hole. at the track, drag radials can handle pretty good power without wanting to break lose too much. i also do not go thru the water box and do a burnout at the track. im afraid of breaking an axle or something, and i dont think the drag radials really need a burnout.

well weight reduction... its almost completly striped. just got a little sound deadening (dynamat) still in it. working on getting it off... but that shouldnt be but about 50 lbs or so. other than that its only a seat, shfter, dash, and bottle...

i think ima spray off the line.maybe get me into teh 13's , then im going to concentrate on body work for a while.

i could hang and beat this guy at the track in a cavalier with bolt-ons and 100 shot. i was rather amazed that a c1 hatch could beat or keep up with so many cars.

looks like with 100 mph traps you could easily hit high 13's if you get a better launch. good luck

Are you on slicks? For some reason 14.2 with a b18b on 70 shot NOS doesn't sound fast, I'm running high 13's N/A stock internals with a b16a2. On that note, how does the b18 handle the nitrous? I have the zex kit, and I used it all the time on my d15y7 but haven't tried it on the b16a2 yet, I'm afraid of floating the valves or blowing the motor. Something about the dry setup that I don't trust with the b-series motors.... BTW good luck getting into the 13's......

14.2 is a good time for bristol i swear.

jsutter aka jeremery was runnin wha mid 14's with a cx with sohc turbo.

it will be running 13's soon enough. also its a coupe, not a god damned hatch! and its still heavy!

not on slicks... 15" michelin pilot sports... im usually spinin through most of 1st, somtimes 2nd. and still getting 2.2 60' times. im not done yet by god....

You should go into bracket racing with consistency like that!

Good times.
