I'm looking to get a DC Header for my 01 GSR. V&T Performance in Pensacola told me that the 01 GSR DC header is different from the 94-00 DC header because the O2 Sensor is different (bigger). Any true on this issue? I got the money but don't want to buy the wrong item. Especially after the bad experience with the Type R Vave Cover issue.

I doubt know about that but I just know mine fit like a charm and i think it was from 99-00. But you should go with JDM for the money. Good luck man.

i have a dc header on my 01 gsr. i didn't install this thing myself but the guy who did, did tell me that he had to do some funky stuff to my car in order to make it fit. something about the 02 sensor also, so i don't think that your assumption is wrong. then again, you should do some more research...just my 2 cents

The header wont work. On the 01 models one of the O2 sensors is in the collector before the the Catalytic converter. on the 94-00 models the two o2 sensors are tapped into the cat. If you get the 94-00 header you wont have the hole neccessary to place the O2 sensor. Hope that helps.

 

The headers are the same from 94-99, then they added that O2 sensore at the end of the headers on the 00-up. I have a 00 GSR and I have an O2 sensore right before the flange at the end of my headers.
