std to si doors and seatbelts
I am putting a complete si interior in my hatch. Can i still use the STD doors but mount the seatbelts on the B-pillar like in the si, That way i can loose some weight.
Is the belt assembly easy to get out of the doors?
thanks in advance.

the seatbelt location is the same from STD to SI, the difference is the year of the car. 88-89 has the belt on the b-pillar, 90-91 has it in the door.
I'm pretty sure that no, you can't move it. but you could put a 5 point harness in the car and pull the stock belts out. To do that properly you would need to put a rollcage in the car though.

i tried removing my seatbelt from my passenger side door only to reveal that the car wont stop beeping like the door is open. eventually i will take both units out and fin the beeper and remove it also. and get a 4 point. but the seat belt until weighs 7.5 lbs each if i remember right.
