Now that I have been driving my '85 Accord for a few weeks I'm looking for some more performance, but I haven't been able to find many parts available for it. I see lots of Accords on the road that look very similar to mine (3rd and 4th gen) so I was wondering if anyone knew how many parts are interchangable from those 3 generations. I am looking mostly for suspenion parts, springs, struts, sway bars, bushings, etc.

Also, since there is almost no support for the ES2 engine I was wondering if anyone has transplanted a newer engine such as a B16, H22 or a K-series from an RS-X into one of these cars? Any info is appreciated!

 

thats a hard one, i dont know if many people are familar w/ 2nd gen accords. In any case, you probably want to check 3rd year accords. If the chassis and platform is the same, you might be in luck for a B-series swap. The 3rd gens i believe could take a b-series swap and *might* have been able to use some civic/integra suspension as they were also 4x100. Thou really have to double check these things.
Just speculation on my part.
