Apex N1 exhuast Question
Ok I have a 1992 honda civic VX hatchback, with a b18c in it. I have the apex N1 exhaust on my car.
My question is about the heat wrap around the rear section of the exhaust pipe, just under the gas tank, mine is coming off and I was wondering is this a big safety issue, or just a cosmetic issue?

the heat wrap i am talking about is a like a clothe wrap with 2 metal hose clamps at either end..

Is it on the weld area?

no just the rear section of the exhaust pipe. This is a complete exhuast, not just a muffler.. I have a DC Sports 4-1 then a high flow cat then the Apex N1 catback full exhaust.. it's not covering any welds
i have a n1 my car with a 2.5 in header, test pipe ,and a gutted cat and it gets really hot but i never had any probs(not heat wrap at all)

bump, the part I am asking about is right below the gas tank, is it possible for the exhuast pipe to heat the gas tank enough to cause a problem?
I think he means gutted resonator....not sure......
I'd leave it on.....the piping hits the gas tank a bit and better safe than sorry....look at mine next time bro..
