JDM H22 intake manifold and EGR experts needed!!!
I need help...This EGR problem ive been having is driving me nuts. Ive done it all from checking wiring, changing the valve (twice), going through 3 different 3rd gen emission boxes,and redoing the vaccum..NOTHING, damn CEL comes on all the time.
Now, my last options are to see if there is anyway that the intake mani end of the egr port is clogged and try cleaning it out (which i have told wont help) OR just swap out intake manifolds.
What i want to know is can i use an early model h22 mani (~91-93) on my ~94-95 engine. The only difference between the 2 manifolds that i know of are the later models have the map sensor on top of the TB. Any other differences????

No, there will not be much differences with that. Actually cleaning out the port could help the problem, but other than that, I would recommend you try and test the wires for a break in the wire.
Check the EGR lift valve signal to A11, and the lift sensor to D12 using a digital multimeter.

yea the V6 accords have a recall where they drill out the EGR port
and install a small tube to keep it from clogging

Ok i have another question to add to this never ending saga..
Would my pretty bad exhaust leak that sounds like backfire every i let off the gas have anything to do with the EGR going crazy??

no the exhaust gas comes from the head...it has nothing to do with your exhaust pipe.

sweet...so 4.2.1 headers won't affect the egr either...
i was worried for a minute...
I thought less backpressure would alter it somehow...
But i was just guessing...dont know...
