Default compression gauge

any recommendations on the brand of gauge to get for motor compression? is there generally a range difference between brands, ie 0-300psi or 0-250psi? also, what size for the fitting (spark plug hole)?

I'd get 0-300psi.

Spark plug thread size is 14mm.

yeah, i've just noticed that the gauge at pepboys was $30 and the longacre gauge from racerpartswholesale was $50. obviously there will be a quality difference, but i was wondering if there is a functional difference, ie is there a feature on certain more expensive models that is a must-have?
