Help me choose: BFG Comp TA's or keep saving for slicks
I have a set of 15" rims that I've been saving for slicks. However I don't have money for cheater slicks yet so I kept my ears open and picked up a free set of BFG Comp T/As, 205 width, 15". Should I mount these and give 'em a shot for drag racing? Is it worth it? Thing is, the wheels are heavy chrome suckers (bling bling
) so it's not going to be a weight savings, only a difference in traction.
My current tires are stock rims with 195/60R14s on them, all season Motomaster Predators (treadwear 480, higher than taxi tires,
).
Thanks for the suggestions

how about do both???
mount the TAs for now since it won't cost too much and race while the weather is nice. keep saving for slicks and when you have enough to buy them, get them!

use the stock rim setup untill you can afford slicks, thats the best way, just put the stockers down to about 8psi
