Default engine differences? sohc ZC, d16y8, d16z6

I'm looking to get one of these motors for a daily driver car, but I really don't know much about them except what cars they are from.

Is there any issue with the sohc zc motor? different wiring harness or connectors? jdm distributor or anything like that.

Also I've been hearing about how much more responsive the zc is over the USDM motors. Can someone clarify this info with some detail and numbers.

Go with the y8. Better intake manifold etc etc etc. But it's OBD2 so if you wanna stay OBD1 then get the Z6 and swap the y8 manifold on it.

isn't sohc ZC same as d16z6? or are you refering sohc ZC as jdm 1.5 SOHC?

Or you could get the y8 and put the z6 head on it, since the z6 head flows better than the y8 head.

I had read that the y8 had a better flowing head, and stronger valve springs.

looks like I am going to either get the d16a and buy a d16z6 head, or find a d16z6 complete and rebuild it.

not to much info this time around. o well.
