night photoshoot questions???
i got a sony f717. camera is sick. i love it. i'm moving back to an old neighborhood where my friend lives, and i wanna do a photoshoot on his car.
what settings do you guys leave it at for night pics?

For night shots, find a place with a lot of light (white light is the best, not that yellow color), use a slow shutter speed, and use a tripod. Moving shots at night are usually very blurry.

I'm by no means a professional, but
different lighting conditions require different settings
If your just starting out and you want to take night pictures
I suggest you get a tripod, and find a nicely lit place
then set your camera to shutter priority mode
for the f717 it should be the s on the dial
then for the shutter speed try, 1/8, 1/5, 1/6, something like that
it will automatically pick what it feels is the best aperture setting for that shutter speed
just experiment with the settings
and take a lot of pictures
then after look at the pics and see what settings worked best for the situation
and apply that information to future shoots

thanks fellas. yea i just got a tripod, its nothing special, but it works. i can't wait till i can experiment. you guys know any sites with tips on night shots, or the f717 in general? thanks
