Default Finished Mpfi swap, not starting!?!!?

drrrdududrrdududrrrdududrr........thats what it sounds like when i crank it over
I double checked the wiring and its good.
Im getting spark, theres fuel in the line.
Not sure on the injectors, theve been sitting for a couple of months.
Im using an SI head on my D15b1. I lined the timing on the cam gear by the two horizontal lines.. Do i need to line it like an SI at the cam line facing the 7 o'clock position? Or leave it at the dx timing marks?
Can someone help me trouble shoot? Please TIA

If the timing is off it won't start. I'd align it the Si way for sure since its an Si head.

The ECU is supposed to flash once when the ignition is on. It can never hurt to check your wiring one more time, wire for wire, all the way from one end to the other.

If you're using the Si head, line up the Si timing marks (assuming you're using the Si cam as well).

As for checking to see if fuel is flowing through the injectors, the fool-proof way is to pull the plugs and turn it over; check if fuel is coming out. Injectors sitting for a while shouldn't go bad, unless they were bad before.

My guess is the wiring is slightly wrong somewhere; my car wouldn't start after my MPFI swap b/c of 2 white wires being switched (on the distributor). It was quite disappointing that 2 wires caused that much hassle.

ok moved timing marks to the SI marks.
I'm not getting spark!! Im changing the ignitor right now, putting the DX one in the SI distrib. What else should i check/change? Wiring is good, havnt swapped the 2 white wires on the distrib., but Id be able to start even if they were reversed right? Help...

ok, moved the timing back to the DX marks and its idling smooth. I was able to line up the timing to the red mark on the pulley. Only problem right now is it hesitates for a sec or 2 when i give it gas. no CEL. anyone???

Are you sure your sensor plugs are in the right places. Mine ran like *** for a long time because I had things plugged into the wrong spots.
