new oil pump w/out pulling timing belt???
I know helms book says to pulling the timing belt is necessary when changing the oil pump-- but has anybody done it without??? I'm kicking myself in the butt right now because earlier today I changed my timing belt and water pump-- everyone says that they get them done at the same time-- so that's what I did... Anyway, I also have a new oil pump to install, but didn't look to see if it was necessary to do with the timing belt off... Can anyone tell me that they've done it without pulling the timing belt??? PLEASE.. I don't wanna pull that belt off if I don't have to.
Thanks in Advance,
Zack

Yes, the crank goes thru the oil pump so there's NO WAY to get the oil pump off, without taking everything that's in front of it off first.
ie timing belt, water pump, pulley, tensioner, etc, etc.
