My ABS system goes on and off - somewhat randomly. Seems to be connected to outside temperature. Cannot get a trouble code out of it - service manual says if no code then a possible computer connection. If it is really cold out, ABS works and stays working while I drive. When it is medium temp outside, ABS light will come on and stay on and ABS is locked out. If it is really hot, or car has sat in hot sun, ABS light will go out and ABS is fine, until the next time I start it. Any ideas? Really don't want to take it to Honda dealer ($$$$), yet.

 

If the light comes on, there should be some code, correct..

BTW, I have my whole ABS system for sale.. 1993 VTEC

 

Correction... depending on the code. My ABS code was "main relay or ABS circuit"... yeah, helpful. The whole ABS's memory system is fubar'ed somehow and won't hold codes. The ABS system doesn't always work when cold, or when remote started, and they can't figure out why because no error codes are being stored.

Just where is the ABS computer on this car? If I could find it, I would check the connections. ??? My Honda shop manual picture looks like it is behind the right panel in the back seat?

 

It's on the passenger side inside of teh rar quarter panel. Pull the paneling off in front of the rear seat and you'll see it.
