Are they just stock taillights painted all except for 4 circles? Seems like an easy DIY job.

I wouldn't trust anything that's not from the factory! Most of it's ghetto.

Without a reflector on the rear corner visible from the side they are ILLEGAL.

Hmmm as much as I am not really a fan of those taillight I dont think your statement is true? How would you explain Vettes then? And I know there are more cars out there that dont have side reflectors another one off the top off my head would be a Jeep they just have the 2 square ones in the rear...

I'm guessing that so long as it's factory, it should be alright.

As for the picture

See the rear side marker light? That's a reflecter that is built into the wrap around taillights on our cars.

Again, it's illegal.

BY LAW, there has to be the following:

Front:
Forward headlights, forward turn signals, forward and front end corner or fender turn signal indicators and reflectors.

Rear:
There must be rear side corner reflector of some kind, rear brake lights, rear turn signals, and rear reflectors.

OK so there just has to be a reflector somewhere near the rear of the car then?? I thought you were saying that it had to be in combination with the taillights themselves...

3 to 4 hundred ! That's quite a bit of cash. If it were me I would buy something for the engine, but it's not me so do what you will.
