The hatch will not lock when the car is off. It will only lock when I start the car and then close it.

The hatch light is also always on.

Is there something I need to adjust? Fuses? Wires? Thanks.

you have to start the car in order to lock the hatch?? that makes no sense at all, the latch and everything is mechanical, the can running shouldnt effect that at all.

are you sure the release latch is pushed all the way down inside the drivers compartment??

I know this is weird but I just loosened all the screws, 3, and played around with it and tightened it back up and now it's even better than before.

Just have to fix the light that stays on forever.

So your saying that playing with the bolts fixed it???

 

yup, 100% fixed it. I have no clue why. Probably fixed itself when I played around with the locking mechanism where the key affects it.
