I'm looking suggestions for what colors to paint the wheels.

Colors I DON'T WANT: flat black, gunmetal, white, red.

I'm looking for something that's not too flashy, but is a little different from the rest of the crowd. I see flat black wheels everywhere and I don't really dig the color much. I had bronze C8s before and they look okay, but I don't know which spray paint color I would use for that. Anyone know? I painted a set of VX wheels cast iron and it looks pretty decent. I do like something like hyperblack or this one silver that's a little lighter than gunmetal but I don't know the name.

I'm going to use a spray can, so suggest a color that comes in spray can. Also, post pics of your wheels if you have painted it that color.

green, like that one car on here has.

 

My sparco wheels were blue, it's a a little too bright.

Are you talking about the Civic with the Hulk Green wheels? Even though my car is Green, that color would still be a little flashy.

Orange would be different. I've never seen orange wheels before, and it's not too flashy if you keep it a reddish orange color.

Those Orange wheels look pretty nice.

I painted my Sparco wheels gunmetal. I'm just seeing if there is something that's a little different. My wheels are a little scratched up, so I've already sanded them down and now just need to decide on a color to paint them.

gloss black..polished lip.... thats how im gonna do mine.....

 

I know you don't want black, gunmetal, white, red...but honestly, gunmetal HX's look real nice. Also, you eliminate a lot of "tasteful" colors when deciding to not use those. I mean, you could always paint them hot pink, or purple, or neon green, but do you honestly want to drive around on rims that look that disgusting?

 

I have a black Integra and an ugly green Accord. The EX accord wheels I'm buying are curbed up and I'd need to sand them down and then paint them.


I kind of like the Gloss black with polish lip...I'm already have the lips polished up and ready to mask it up and paint.

It seems like there are so many people modding cars, yet the color choices are so limited. It's like everyone wants their car to be a little unique, but it's the same as most people....I'm going to be a ricer just to be different...lol. These are the wheels I painted about half a year ago.

I think I might go back to Bronze like the C8s I have a few years ago. Anyone know of a spray can with a decent looking bronze? I saw a valve cover painted Rustoleum metallic bronze and it looks quite nice.

 

i saw green with a polished lip, i think that look real good. But thats my opinion what ever you choose, post pictures when you decide and paint em.

 

Why not polish it and have a red lip?
