What is the deepest water a CRX can tread through without damage?
here in jersey we suffer from flash flooding yesterday and i got caught in it. there was a spot where the water was as high as the guy's tailpipe in his Accent in front of me and i elected to turn around and miss my work out at the gym.
but yeah, what's the highest level of water i can drive in with relation to my car (i.e. up to the bottom door sill, to the bumper, etc.)? (my car is not dropped too)

I wouldn't chance having the water go over the bottom of my doors, don't want it coming in some how and soaking my interior. Lucky for me, it barely floods in south Texas.
i went through bout 2 ft once, for about a 10 foot length, i think i might have floated across most of it, haha, i hit it goin about 50, i couldnt see it, but im slammed, and water came shooting up through the top of the hood. it was crazy!
I wouldn't go taller than where the intake is and if my motor doesn't have a nice purry idle no higher than the exhaust.but rule of thumb is no more than where the intake gets the air
you probably wouldn't really want the water to even go over the middle of your wheels because water and sand could get in your wheel bearings. If you are comfortable with that, just don't get your engine block wet if it is hot or suck up any water. Be sure to clean the fish out of your radiator when done.

I would not go above the bottom of your doors. I am not sure on this but will the exhuast have a problem if the muffler tip was submerged in water. Would the car run or would it act as if a potato was in the muffler tip and stall out?

the car would probably run if the exhaust was totally submerged- just think of a bong- it works just fine
Am I the only one who ever noticed that there is a little hole between the seats in my CRX's. I'm not sure it's open to the bottom of the car, but if it is........???
Little bit of water through that hole. Absorbed by the carpet and padding,
resting against the ECU. Bye, Bye ECU
. I could just be overreacting.
Anybody got an opinion?
