Default My new CRX

It is dark out, so the pictures suck but check them out: http://imglib.************/index.cgi?cmd=viewcat&id=101

1988 Honda Civic CRX Si (chassis has 140k miles)
ZC Motor (35-40k miles)
ACT Clutch
Ground Control Coilovers
KYB AGX Adjustables in the front
Tokico Illumina Adjustables in the back
Suspension Techniques rear sway bar
AEM Intake
Magnasomething exhaust
High-flow cat
Chikara headers
'89 Integra ECU (higher redline)
JDM CRX Hood
'91 Prelude Blade Wheels

The guy threw in the original D16 motor and all of the original stock parts, along with an additional hood.

The car feels like a solid mid 14sec car to me. If I floor 1st gear, the wheels break loose quite a bit up until redline. It has a lot of torque.

I got it all for $3300. What do you guys think?

Dustin

not a bad G-Ride. It's kinda hard to see the pics, but the car looks really nice.

I miss my CRX. I am going thru CRX withdrawal. It's been over 3 weeks. Will be at least 3 more weeks.

Don't be suprised if you start driving the CRX more than the Teg. It's more fun in a different way, and you don't have to worry about it as much (parking, etc).

Nice. I always wanted a CRX. There's a nice '91 Si in Tahitian Green which drives by once in a while, looks totally stock that makes me drool. I could've bought a Red '89 Si last year for $1500 in decent mechanical shape with IHE, Tokicos, H&Rs and a new Clutchmasters clutch. but I didn't have the money at the time. More recently, I could bought a beat up Red '91HX with a VTEC head on it for $50.00 but I didn't. I was stoopid.

What are your plans for it?

Don't fix it up too much... can never trust the parking lots of Sac State (assuming you're going back there).

That's a VERY good deal! 14 sec. car for $3300? The aftermarket parts alone cost that much, right? I hope to come across a deal like that in a couple of years.

I am just going to drive it to school, maybe autocross it. The interior is pretty dirty so I am going to start by taking it all apart and cleaning everything

I know the car is way too modified to run in any sort of normal auto-x class, I would have to run against the good guys. Heck, maybe I will get good.
