Default Clear Coat problems

The clear coat on my 99 Civic EX is peeling right by the trunk on the upper side panel. I've tried putting on a little clear finger nail polish (the lacquer helps slow down the spreading), but it still looks bad. It's not real big (about the size of a playing card). But I'm afraid that after a rough Milwaukee winter it will get much worse. Does anyone have any suggestions that would help??? thanks

take it to a dealership and see about warranty repair. even if they won't cover it, it never hurts to try.

The warranty is up, being that its a 99. I bought the car used, didn't show any signs of body damage when I bought it. I have no idea why this happened. Maybe I will take it to a shop and have them take a look at it. It can't hurt. Thanks
