Jerome Zimmerman of Realtime Racing passed away...

I know a lot of you don't frequent the RR/AutoX board but I'm sure most of you are familiar with and are fans of Realtime Racing. Some of you have probably met them. Yesterday their crew chief, Jerry Zimmerman, died in the hospital of injuries from a motorcycle accident. More here:

I am going out to send a card right now, it would be a really nice gesture if many of us fans showed our support for the team that has done great things in racing and been true gentlemen in the process.

I heard about his accident over the weekend from a friend. I met Jerome back when he worked for King Motorsports. Very sad situation

My heart goes out to his family & friends.

That's sad news.
Condolences to Jerome's family and the Realtime Team.

Motorcycling just seems to be getting too damned dangerous these days.

I'm sure I wasn't the only one hoping/praying that he'd pull through after the accident.

Wow, Jerome had helped me in the past on some little things when he didn't even know me from "Jack". Awesome guy, rest in peace you will be missed.

My codolences to all his family and friends. I met a few guys of the RTR team at Road Atlanta in June, I wonder if he was one of them....they were all very very nice.

Jerry was a cool guy. I've been really sad since I heard about the accident. The funeral is on Sunday I believe, not sure where, but I'll pass the info on once I find it.

all I could mutter repeatedly after reading this was: what a huge huge loss to the family/close friends, Realtime, and the Honda/Acura Touring Car world in North America....
