2003 Civic LX, I need instructions on rear bumper/stop light...
What's up guys,
My wife has a 2003 Civic LX & over the weekend I tried to change the stop light ( Passenger side stop light, the one with the turn signal NOT the one that makes part of the trunk w/ reverse light )
We had to change it because someone backed into it and cracked it, luckyly there was no body or bumper damage, just the corner stop light. I went to Honda and purchased the new stop light, went home to install it and this **** pissed me the **** off
I took part of the rug from the inside of the trunk off so I could get to the nuts and screws behind the stop light. Here I am thinking it's ready to come out. I pull on it and it seems to be stuck to something. I look underneath the bumper ( around where the exhaust tip ends ) & I see there is a metal bracket holding the light from underneath so I take another screw out, get back up and pull on it and it still doesn't come out. I look again under the bumper again and it seems to me that I have to take out the whole bracket, I took 2 more nuts that connet the bracket to the car. Remember I am doing this all with my arm up the rear bumper scratching the **** out of my arm with the bottom of the bumper.
I can't ******* believe that I am going to have to take the whole bumper off just to get this stupid
******* stop light OFF.
Can any of you please direct me where I can go and find instructions on doing this? a link, website, instructions, anything...
Or is there any faster easier way to do this?
PLEASE HELP !!!
GRACIAS
