I know ive been gone for a while. Between work and all the other **** i have going on i havent been able to check the site out lately. I know youll all probably be mad but ive been thinking of selling the car and getting a e-36 m3, what do you guys think? After a dissapointing day at the track a couple weeks ago I was really pissed off and didnt know what direction to go with my project. Plus the fact that I really need a nice comfortable daily driver so that I can focus myself more on the hatch and whatever work needs to be done I can do it without having to worry about the car being laid up, but it all comes down to money(which I have none). In the end I decided that im probably gonna keep the hatch since ive put so much time into it. Which leads me to my next question, do any of you guys that have taken out your a/c still have all the parts in good condition? also i think redline h22 made a post about a new set of traction bars for our cars-did anyone ever hear anything else about that? In the end it all comes down to how much patience you have(which I have none,lol).Please convince me keep my car. Enough about me, How are you guys doing?

youd have a car thats faster than your HB and is hell of lot more comfortable too. I wouldnt do it because I dont like car payment but if I had the loot I'd be a no brainer for me.

i ran 14.5 with horrible 60'. i probably need alot more practice. sorry i forgot you newman. im really undecided about what im going to do right now.
Is that the first time at the track? To be honest I feel what you saying. I too want to have a nice weekend driver that I can carry a women to dinner in and not have to worry about potholes and such. But I am not selling my hatch no time soon. Think of it this way. No one will ever appreciate the car like you did and put the time like you did. If you want to still get something else I really cant hate especially if its an M3. But if you could afford to keep both then I would..

Whats up dood. An M3 would be a pretty sweet ride, but dont let go of the hatch. Look into thoughs traction bars and other mods and get that beast in the 13's.
no doubt. i hear what you guys are saying. the only mods done so far are exhaust and intake,so i probably cant expect much. who had the traction bars for sale? jason-you said it best,who wants to take out a girl in a car you cant even hold a conversation in. the only reason a m3 would be an option is because i work for bmw and it would make life alot easier when i needed things. there is good and bad in everything though. last night this kid pulled into a parking lot where me and my friend were hanging out with his e-36 m3,of course he started talking **** and i asked him if he wanted to run,his response:what,you think you can beat me with that(pointing to my car). i smiled and said lets go. lets just say he got destroyed! now that makes me want to keep my car! im gonna start looking for something i can use a s a daily driver. jason-you ever get those dyno runs in?

yea i think im gonna spend some loot and get those,some teg axles,header,msd digi 6, hook up the juice,falken aziens and go from there. anything else you can think of that i may be missing??

All of those would boost ya up. 75 shot, header and traction bars, with the 6 AL would rock your world.

I just wanted to add (since I saw you worked at BMW) I also work at a BMW dealership, and just wanted to remind you of the blessing that you already have. In case you didnt realize it....German cars are garbage. Sure an E-46 M3 would be nice(as Newman put it), but who has 40g's to blow on one? Keep the honda....build the **** out of it, and keep owning those dumbasses like the guy you mentioned

Going to the PA dyno meet this weekend with Chameleon. So I should have some base numbers up.. And hopefully I can put the VAFC in before so I can get some minor tuning done also..

Peice of ****!!! Okay this is the second time this has happened now and I need some advice.. Driving around tonight because I was bored and the car just shuts off. Fine I said let me just try to start it back up again but i hear no prime from the fuel pump when the key is in the ON position.. But i have been here before. One other time before I got the p28 ECU I had one from my old 91 Accord using just to get around.. So the story goes I had passed by my man to help him out with hooking up with his O2 while my car was idling. Turned around and noticed it had stopped idling. Checked it out and same problem car is dead but fuel pump wasnt priming. Check everything from Main relay, to the pump, to the ignition switch then something told me to check the (Accord) ECU and yep I smelled that burning smell only a mother could love. Opened it up and a capacitor was fried looks like from A25 & A26 leads on the ECU..
Now just NOW like 10 minutes again, back the story same **** happens while I was driving. Good thing I didnt decide to go far, car was nice and fine wasnt driving extreme or anything and it just died. Since I learned from my mistake the first time I had the ole Civic ECU in the car just in case. Pop it in and the car starts up just fine. Get home and open up the chipped out P28 ECU and yeap a capacitor is fried.. However it looks to be on the B pins now??
What do you think this could be and does anyone know if the ECU can be repaired. I will take pics soon as post them up!!

Okay now what would make an ECU work finer than fine for 3 months then just blow a capacitor like this!!??? I dont know if its the fuel pump causing this problem or what?? Because everytime it blows the fuel pump circuit is disabled rendering the car dead..
The only issues I was having before this was a AICV Valve CEL every now and again because I think it needs to be either cleaned out or replaced and the fact that my Radiator fan is on constantly 24/7...
Any ideas fellas. I dont want this to be a reoccuring issue!
